The State & Regional tab in RateView is designed to give you a quick look at the average rates (either Broker-to-Carrier Spot or Shipper-to-Carrier Contract) from a state-to-state view or a region-to-region view.

Spot State

There are several options that can be used to adjust what is displayed in this view to your preference.

  • Truck Type allows you to select Van, Reefer or Flatbed based on what you want to see in the chart

  • Fuel Surcharge allows to include the standard fuel charge with DAT, no fuel charge at all, or a custom fuel surcharge of your choosing

  • Time Frame allows you to select the time frame for the rates that display in the chart, ranging from as little as 1 day, to as much as 1 year

    In this same area, you can also choose to Fill empty cells with 1 Yr Avg. When picking a time frame like 7 days where not all lanes may have a rate, this option will ensure that the field is populated with a relevant rate.

Hovering over a rate on the chart will highlight the row and column to make it easier to read. When viewing a broker rate, the highlight will be in orange.

This chart can also be downloaded to a spreadsheet if needed. This can be useful to keep for historical purposes if you choose.

Click the Save As icon  to download the chart to a spreadsheet.

Spot Regional

This view gives you the same features as the Spot State, but from a ‘regional’ perspective instead.

Contract State
