iQ Benchmark includes Power Only and Intermodal as equipment type options, giving you more flexibility when analyzing market trends and rates across different modes of transportation.
How to add these equipment types to your view
By default, Power Only and Intermodal are not selected. To include them:
- Go to the Equipment Type section on the right side of the filter panel.
- Select Power Only or Intermodal to add them to your analysis.

Contributor Data Insights

- Intermodal:
In prior analyses, contributed Intermodal rates have often been lower than Van broker-to-carrier spot rates. These rates typically reflect door-to-door pricing, which may include drayage and rail portions of the move. - Power Only:
Historical contributor data has shown that Power Only rates can trend slightly higher than Van spot rates, though this depends heavily on specific freight and lane characteristics.
